Village and pillage update

I have minecraft xbox one edition

but can't get the new update, any ideas why?

There are two different versions of Minecraft available for the Xbox One. The
Xbox One Edition is no longer supported by Mojang. The version that is currently supported is simply called
Minecraft.

I do believe that if you bought the Xbox One Edition that you should be able to get the newer version for free, though if I'm wrong it *IS* on Game Pass.

The Minecraft Xbox One edition is no longer supported nor available in the Store, and so the new Village and Pillage update is not available for it. All new updates, including that one, is only on the version that is currently supported, which is simply
called "Minecraft".

Minecraft xbox one is on the bee update so did you possibly get that update? cause that's the latest
