    Viewing wtv files on xbox one


    I have a hard drive full of wtv files from when I used Windows Media Center with xbox 360. I encounter two problems when trying to play the files on my xbox one.

    1) While the Media Player app can see the hard drive and its directories, it only sees the first item in the list of wtv files. The rest are invisible. I do not have this problem with music files or anything else on the disk. When I view the folder from
    Windows 10 on a laptop, I can see all the files just fine.

    2) When I try to play the one file that I can see, I get the error that the file format is unsupported. I got this same error the first time that I tried to play these files on a Windows 10 laptop. All I had to do was download some new codecs and everything
    worked just fine. How does one do this for the xbox one?

    Can anyone help? I have a bunch of TV recorded for my kids that I would love to watch via xbox one.

    What do you pick up for loot.

    I usually loot anything with at least a 10 to 1 WTV ratio.

    I have the same problem- despite of installing the Media player app on xboxOne.

    And the listing of monies do not correspond to the folders I have on my W10Pro computer, it is very confusing.

    How to view hidden Video files on Xbox One?

    I thought I said I didn't have a PC right now. Also I can see and play the files by searching (If I know the file name) so codec is not the problem. Only I can not see the hidden folder to explore it. The problem was how to unhide them within XBOX.
