    Viewing Parent Of Child Account

Hello, I have an account on my Xbox that has limited access to specific things like editing settings and using online features. According to my Xbox, it is a "child account" but I don't know what the parent account is. I want this account to have restrictions to absolutely nothing. Am I supposed to remove the child account from the parent's family? Am I supposed to "promote" this account to a parent account? I'm in need of help with this.

    :)

If you're still a minor please ask an adult to manage your account by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/family. From there make sure that your account is an adult in that way they can manage your restrictions.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Your account can be removed using the organizer's account, they are also the ones that can manage your settings for you.

If you're still a minor you need to ask the organizer/adult to manage it for you. They can do so by signing in to https://account.xbox.com/settings.

For you to check who is the organizer, simply sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/family.

Nothing was there before, but when I added the side account to my family, it showed my main account there. When I remove the side account from my family, the account again has limited access to numerous things. I want the account to be independent and have unlimited access

If you have registered a child account, only the parental account can change the privacy settings for viewing content or playing online.

Go to Settings, Account and Privacy & Online Safety. There, on the right hand side, you will see either View Details or View Details & Customize. Click on it and you will see a list of different aspects of Xbox Live. Find Join Multiplayer Games and check
if it's Allowed or Blocked. If it's Blocked and you cannot change it, then it's a child account. You have to sign in with a parental account (the parental account would've been created at the same time as the child account), go to Settings, Account and Family.
There, select the child's gamertag, then Privacy & Online Safety, View Details & Customize and allow online gaming.
