Viewing captures uploaded on console, on PC.

    Hello,

Captures which I have made and uploaded to the Xbox network, via the console, are not visible on PC. The Companion App has been shut down, and the videos are not visible in the Game Bar. In the Game Bar my captures made on the PC are visible. So is it possible to view captures on my PC which were uploaded on the console?

    Thanks

    :)

This. I have been a loyal customer for many years. Certainly not as many as you, however I am still upset that my captures must now be managed through a third party website if I would like to export my captures from the Xbox console. No, I will not be purchasing one drive. I will be backing up my captures that were existing just fine up until Microsoft decided to push one drive access to forgetful gamers.

"1. Open the Xbox app on your PC.

    2. Click on the "Game DVR" tab.

    3. Click on the "On Xbox Live" tab.

    4. Select the "See all" option to view all your captures.

    5. If you still cannot see your captures, try refreshing the page or logging out and logging back in to your account."

    Hi ocnav1,

    Greetings!

Thank you for publishing in Microsoft Community.

We understand that you are having trouble viewing your captures on your PC that were uploaded to the Xbox network via your console. I'll be happy to assist you with this issue.

Firstly, please ensure that you are signed in to the same Microsoft account on both your console and PC. This is important as your captures are linked to your account and can only be accessed from the same account.

If you have confirmed that you are signed in to the same account, please try the following steps:

    1. Open the Xbox app on your PC.

    2. Click on the "Game DVR" tab.

    3. Click on the "On Xbox Live" tab.

    4. Select the "See all" option to view all your captures.

    5. If you still cannot see your captures, try refreshing the page or logging out and logging back in to your account.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, please try the following:

    1. Open the Xbox app on your PC.

    2. Click on the "Settings" icon.

    3. Click on the "Game DVR" tab.

    4. Ensure that the "Record game clips and screenshots using Game DVR" option is turned on.

    5. If it is already turned on, try turning it off and then back on again.

If you are still unable to view your captures on your PC, please try accessing them from a different device or browser to see if the issue persists. Additionally, you can check the Xbox Live service status page to ensure that there are no known issues with the service.

I was on the phone with customer support for over an hour and we did not get this resolved during that call. They said they will talk with their support team and contact me later today or tomorrow.

One half-measure solution was to download the Xbox app on my phone and connect it to my Microsoft account. My videos were available on my Xbox mobile app and I could email links to the videos to myself. I will follow up here when they follow up with me.
