    Video thumbnails not loading on microsoft edge xbox app


    Whenevere I go to Youtube or other streaming/video websites the thumbnails wont load and ive been experiencing this problem for the past few updates, and incase you need the info im in the insiderhub beta ring​

    YouTube is broken on Microsoft Edge... For months

    No one said you couldn't watch video's on the edge browser on xbox one. The problem is there are no thumbnails, no like or dislike button and everything takes 20 seconds to load. I'm sure there are a few more issues I just cant think of at the moment.
    Or you are talking about edge on your computer and not the xbox one?

    It happened to me, when the YouTube app attempted to load a thumbnail image for a video that had been deleted. Hopefully this will shed light on the cause.

    And also Xboxone's clips are loaded via an app not from boot. You basically are only loading a thumbnail of a clip

    YouTube is broken on Microsoft Edge... For months

    From my experience, the only issue with Youtube.com in Microsoft Edge on my Xbox One is that it's a little slow and it seems to struggle loading all the thumbnails. Here's an example:

    I streamed to my computer in order to capture that photo.

    In regards to the app not allowing people to read or make comments, I'm assuming that's just the way Youtube designed the app since that's how it is on other consoles.

    There is an alternative to the Youtube app though. It's called mytube. It will allow you to view and leave comments; however, that app is not free and it's not perfect either.

    Game DVR - Audio and Visual out of Sync

    Open the Upload app, go to My Captures, highlight the video thumbnail, and hit the menu button. Choose Delete.

    Or open the Upload app, My Captures, select Manage from the left-hand tab, and select multiple thumbnails at once, and then choose Delete.
