    cannot download video rented from XBox video

    I have rented some videos from X Box video. It asks if you want to watch online or download to watch later (i,e, on a plane). I choose this option and it starts the download. It immediately stops with an error that states "Can't download (no rights)"

    Microsoft charges for the rental, but cannot download.

    Any suggestions

    Just purchased movie rental, unable to download to console!!

    Can I ask what service you used EX- Netflix/ Xbox video etc.... Some apps prevent the download of Rentals. (Just a thought)

    Hello JBC420,

    What error is being experienced?

    Is there a message received when the items are being downloaded?

    A suggestion would be to attempt a restart of the console, this process consists of:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
      Note Pressing the Xbox button will open the guide from any other screen on the console.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select Restart console.
    4. Select Yes to confirm.
    All feedback is appreciated, feel free to provide your results!

    Make sure the console and the movie rental are in the same region.

    Hi JBC,

    I did read over this post and comments; it appears Javier is recommending to restart the xbox, not reset it. Also, the console does have a reset option for both the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

    I did read over this post and comments; it appears Javier is recommending to restart the xbox, not reset it. Also, the console does have a reset option for both the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

    Xbox One error code: 87dd0019

    Also getting this error code on xb1. I currently have an xbox video rental, "The Interview", That I cannot finish because of this issue, and the rental is about to expire in a few hours. :\ I tried video.xbox.com to complete the movie on a laptop, and the
    website just keeps refreshing on loading the video collection. Still no luck so far.
