What's the error code you are receiving?

I apologize if you already tried some of these steps, but please, try them in this order.

First, check your time settings, and set it to automatic.

Press the Windows Key + X > Settings > Time & language > Date & time > Enable "Set Timezone Automatically" and "Set Time Automatically".

Afterward, make sure your Windows is updated:

Then, reset the Microsoft Store:

Press the Windows Key + R

Type WSReset.exe and press Enter.

Afterwards, please, download the Gaming Services Repair tool: https://aka.ms/GamingRepairTool

Once downloaded, execute the file by right-clicking on it and selecting Run as Administrator.

Follow the prompts and check if the issue was resolved.

Moving on from there, reset your network settings:

Please, follow these steps:

Press Windows Key + X > Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced Network Settings > Network Reset > Reset Now.

Does it give you an error code?

I had an issue where it wouldn't launch and gave me a service error. I checked in the XBox beta app and it showed that there was an update I needed to install.

Also, are there any issue with region settings on your PC?

I have not seen this error code before for Gears 5, I would definitely report this by going here Error Codes: PC and submitting a
ticket.

Make sure all windows components are up to date, also try launching the game from your start menu instead of the xbox beta app to see if it give the error.

I was having the same problem today when trying to launch Gears 5.

Upon launching it would send me to the Gaming Services App on the Windows Store. I tried repairing/resetting the gears app in "Apps & Features" (Which deleted it from my apps completely) (I also eventually tried this with the Xbox app as well.. which did nothing). I also tried updating all available windows updates which did not work either.

Now the Xbox App says that I need to redownload gears 5 but every time I try it gives me this error code: 0x80070424

I tried downloading/ launching other games and there was no issue.
