    Verizon Fios TV app crashes hard


    When I downloaded the Verizon Fios TV app today on my Xbox One it lauched and said I did5 have a supscription to xbox live and signed me out and started my system back to home screen. My internet service is Verizon so is my Cable so I don't see why its saying
    I don't have a supscription to Xbox live I have Gold too.

    FIOS TV App Not Working After Update

    Just installed the update today and now my FIOS TV app can't authenticate my service with Verizon. App says that Verizon FiOS TV and FIOS internet are required, but I have both, and it's been working fine up until now. Other channel apps seem to work fine
    so far, like FX NOW.

    Unless you can get Verizon FIOS in your area... you will not be able to get the app. You must be a Verzion Fios TV customer use this app.

    SAFLEY, the Verizon FIOS app just popped up on Xbox One today, so I guess the One is getting the TV apps, also. Not sure what you get with this other than the live TV, since I do not have Verizon.

    Verizon killed their TV app on Xbox and Smart TVs. Here's what I got from Verizon on March 17th:



    Hi,



    On March 31, 2016, the Fios® TV app you are using to watch your Fios TV programming through a Smart TV or an Xbox gaming system will be retired and
    will no longer be available for use. Sorry for the inconvenience.



    But we have great news; you can watch your Fios TV content using our Fios Mobile appfrom your smartphone or tablet. This app allows you to stream TV content in and out of
    your home and so much more.



    If you don’t already have the app, you can easily download it now.



    I know it doesn't solve the problem, but hopefully it answers your question.

    Interesting...there is also rumor that Verizon is looking to launch a non-FiOS video streaming service to compete with Netflix and cable TV providers. And Verizon FiOS is suppose to have video service on Xbox soon.
