Verizon: Connecting with mobile hotspot

you can connect over that. WiFi to the phone or hotspot, then phone or hotspot to the cellular data network.



A 360 S or an original 360 with WiFi can do the same thing today.

Just an update after talking with Xbox support and verizon support. Using my mobile device wifi hotspot allows limited xbox live connection. After calling verizon, they saw no issues on their end. Since connect is possible, there must be a networking
issue between verizon and xbox. Verizon support told me multiple people have called with the exact same issue.

UPDATE: The issue is DEFINITELY Windstream. I enabled the mobile hotspot feature on my phone, connected my XBox One to it, and used Verizon to download the update with zero problems.

My friend at work uses the mobile hotspot with his Thunderbolt to game on xbox live. It's smooth as silk as he routinely gets 18mb down and 4mb up with the connection. A 7 hour COD session uses about 75mb, so he's well under the 2gb cap that Verizon has
for the hotspot.
