Verify serial number

Please let me know how can I verify a serial number of a pre-owned xbox series S in official site to check for any bans or past repairs. Also it would really be helpful if you could provide the direct link .Thanks.

There is no site for checking that sort of thing.

The only way to know if a system is banned or not is to attempt to login to Xbox live with it. If the console is banned itll display a message saying so when you try to sign in to xbox live.

Sadly, there is no option to verify if the serial number of a console is banned, Shubham.

According to Xbox Support:

"When a console is sold or given away, it doesn't change the status of its existing device ban. Even if the ownership changes and the console is reset to factory settings, the device ban is still there and can't be lifted.

If you've bought a banned, secondhand Xbox console or device and you can't sign in or connect to the network, contact the previous owner or retailer."

I recommend asking for a video proof connecting the console on an internet for you to check and validate if there will be a notification of a suspension/ban.

If you still have the box for your Kinect sensor, it would have the serial number on it. With that you would be able to verify the serial number that's labeled on the Kinect.

I'm afraid not, serial number is not enough information to verify the account ownership.

Microsoft should be able to verify it using the serial number.

But I don't have much faith that any Microsoft employee would check this forum and verify that.
