    Value Prepaid card not visible on xbox


    My son redeemed the code of his prepaid card on his own msft account. Now it turns out that his xbox one is on our account (his parents). We are connected via a family account, but nevertheless the value of the code is not visible on the xbox. So now is
    very disappointed while not being able to purchase items on his xbox despite having invested his money in it. Can this in any way be solved?

    Can't buy avatar items with MS prepaid

    I can't buy avatar items with my $25 prepaid Microsoft gift card.

    I literally just bought a $25 prepaid Microsoft card so that I can buy items in the avatar store, but it will not let me.It only gives me the option to purchase through a credit card, which I don't want to do now after I just bought this prepaid card. What
    a waste of my money!!!

    Why? It doesn't make sense. There was never an easily visible warning anywhere on this site or on Xbox that says you can not purchase avatar items with prepaid MS cards.

    If somebody from Xbox Live support team could help me out with this issue, that'd be great. I just want a couple things from the avatar store and I want the amount spent deducted from my prepaid MS dollars.

    Please, please, please help me! I can't return this card and I already redeemed the code...

    It's not possible to make a purchase using gamerscore. Gamerscore has no monetary value. You would need to either use a credit card/Paypal or purchase a prepaid Xbox gift card to add money to your account.

    Hello MidnightFirepaw,

    Unfortunately, there is no option like that. The only other way you would be able to register for the free trial would be to get a prepaid visa card sold in most stores like a GreenDOT Visa Card made for shopping online.

    Alternatively, you can just go to a store and get a prepaid subscription card as well or Microsoft points in a prepaid value.

    There is no other way around that. Sorry.

    I might suggest seeing if what is visible on the card and receipt can be used at the retailer to determine the code. I haven't had this happen with anything from Xbox, but with my prepaid phone card I once scratched out the number, but using another number
    on the card, the cashier was able to contact their merchant support and retrieve the associated code.

    It's best to use it as most place won't refund prepaid cards.

    Also reselling it will incur an significant loss youbwill be lucky to get 50% of the value

    Hi there,

    be sure to check https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments and double check if the currency value is showing there, if it is showing then be sure to check for what region it is, since the
    Xbox One console needs to be connected to that same region.

    If that is the case you should be able to use the currency for purchases on the Xbox Store via the console.

    Keep in mind that a currency value on your account can't be used to purchase Xbox 360 content, that requires a payment option unless the purchase is done on a Xbox 360 console.

    If all is correct but it still isn't showing then you will have to contact Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat at
