    Using W10 Xbox app to type for XB1 requires XB1 reboot.


    I've noticed the last major update that the feature of using the Windows 10 app to type on the Xbox never works from instant on mode anymore. Every single time it just won't have the text input prompt appear on the app whenever I go to a text field on the XB1. It is on same network and is "connected" to my XB1, just that doesn't work. After rebooting XB1 it will start working again until next time I use standby mode on XB1.

    we all know XB1 is W10 ready and capable.. we all know MS has stated a main part of W10 is cross platform talking... We all have seen the MS release graphic of W10 with a TV, a tablet, a phone and an xbox... Phill Spencer will be at the Windows event,
    on stage to talk about W10.. Phill is head of XB1... Do we have to draw people a picture?

    ummmmmmmm Windows 10 IS coming to the XB1, will it look like your PC? probably not... does that mean it is not operating using W10?? NO... but W10 is also coming to windows Phone... so how could that be??

    Thanks so cone nat is normal.



    Ive tried 3 routers.



    TPLink WR841N. Which was no good as NAT would go strict randomly and struggled to get open nats on both xb1 and 360 at same tiime.

    BT Homehub 3. Which can have open NATs on both consoles but contains a bug where UPnP, Port forwarding and DMZ will break every couple of days requiring reboot.



    BT homehub 5. Again supports 2 xboxes but for some reason xb1 cant open required ports. It appears xb1 is not compatible with the UPnP function of this router at all. I have to port forward ports 3074 and 3075 to the xb1 ip address to open the nat..Strangely
    even though port 3074 is forwarded to xb1 my 360 is still able to get an open nat via UPnP even though the logs claim that upnp opens port 3074 to xbox 360..



    Problem is when i use my xb1 tomorrow the xb1 dashboard nat will probably be moderate again while cod will remain open.



    You mention port 3076 as a fallback port. Are you saying i could forward that to xb1 to keep nat open?

    Have you tried hard booting your xb1?

    then looking again?

    also have you uninstalled the app then rebooted and reinstalled it?
