    Using the Xbox App on PC crashes my internet


    Hi,

    Whenever I play a game on my computer through the Xbox App using Game Pass, within 5-10 minutes my internet DSL line crashes and loses connection completely from the internet. (Unsure but also seems to be happening when Infinity Nikki is played but hard to tell if the Xbox App was running in the background in these instances)

    I have attempted the following fixes with no luck

    1. Had someone from our ISP come and look at the line and apparently "fixed" the issue.

    2. Followed these steps from a separate post

    Please, make sure your Windows is updated: https://support.microsoft.com/windo...eshooter-19bc41ca-ad72-ae67-af3c-89ce169755dd Then, reset the Microsoft Store: Press the Windows key +R Type WSReset.exe and press Enter. Restart your PC. Afterwards, please, download the Gaming Services Repair tool: https://aka.ms/GamingRepairTool Once downloaded, execute the file by right-clicking on it and selecting Run as Administrator. Follow the prompts and check if the issue was resolved. For more information: https://support.xbox.com/help/games-apps/troubleshooting/gaming-services-repair-tool Moving on from there, reset your network settings: Please, follow these steps: Press Windows Key + X > Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced Network Settings > Network Reset > Reset Now.

    3. Reset my modem to Factory Defaults and logged back in.

    4. Used different connection types on my Modem - From VDSL2 to ADSL2

    I have now ordered a new DSL cable to see if that's possibly the issue although I just can't see that being right.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated because this is driving me nuts.

    Hey VapidWriter5219, i have tried that and it did not work for me. On my mobile hotspot the Netflix app worked great but when i signed in to my home wifi, it immediately crashed after 4 minutes if streaming. I feel like Xbox needs to put out an update that
    will fix this issue because it is really annoying having to put up with this, also its not just my Netflix app, but other apps like Youtube, xbox video, and hulu crash as well. Like i said before, it cant be my internet because all these apps work just fine
    on my other devices, so everything points to my xbox being the main culprit. Another thing i should add is that when these apps crash, it causes my router to crash as well, by losing broadband and internet connection. If someone could please help i would appreciate
    it.
