Using rewards credits on pre orders

Hi, wondering if it is at all possible to use currency in my Microsoft account that was deposited from rewards credits on pre ordered games? For example, I pre ordered Sea of Thieves a few months ago and will be charged any date after the 10th of this month.
Is it possible for me to use what's in my microsoft account on the price before I am charged automatically?

Pre-order Bonus Confusion

I have been told that pre-order bonus do not count as rewards credits. SO if I purchase 2 pre-orders out of 3 in a b onus period, I get no rewards ds credit for that, ever. That doesn't make sense. That penalizes someone who pre-orders games. Please
explain.

You would have to contact support and speak to billing about switching your payment method, but yes it's possible to use the currency on your account to preorder games. If you use currency from your Microsoft account balance, you are charged immediately
instead of just before the game releases. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or Contact Us | Xbox Support

Hi Hurlamania. You pre-ordered Forza 7 on August 29, 2017. The offer started on September 18th. You qualified for the plays, but the pre-order was not eligible for the Rewards Credits. Pre-orders had to be made during the offer period for the Rewards Credits.

When will I get my Rewards Credits for pre-ordering or ordering the game?

Rewards Credits for pre-ordering or ordering the game will appear as pending in your account within 96 hours of the offer end date.

Since it is not the end of the offer, it is too early to see Credits for completion of the offer.
