Using my Laptop to type directly on my XB One

There used to be a way to type on my laptop into a chatbox and that chatbox would also be open & writing on my Xbox One. That way seems to be outdated with the newer app for XBox. I haven't been able to figure out how to do it now. There was a time when Smartglass would work, but that app doesn't work any longer.

Hi WB636, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

That will not be possible. The workaround will be using remote play or console streaming which is through Xbox App or Console Companion.

And yes, you can also use a wired keyboard.

I have a wireless set for Flight simulator. Just plug in a tiny usb dongle. Pretty much anyones will do

As a side note the green audio jack is plugged into the monitor directly, use to my computer, and 2.5 mm jack going to the Xb audio controller adapter

Hey OP, your XB will be fine, But your story is great. My cat get's up to stupid things all the time like jumping from a table directly on top of my PS3 slim. Now thats weaker then your XB and it's fine
