Using Electronic Drum Kits With Rock Band 4 on Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X

I have used electronic drum kits to play Rock Band 4 on the Xbox One for years using the Xbox 360 legacy adapter. I recently started playing the game again, after having not played it in a couple of years (at least). However, I would like to use a standard electronic drum kit because the stock kit for the game gives some excess notes that electronic kits didn’t. However, because the game lags, there is consideration of replacing my current console with a Series S or Series X console. Would I be able to use the hardware required to use full electronic drum kits with Rock Band 4 on a Series S or Series X Xbox console?

There is no Guitar Hero drums for the Series X or S. There is Rock Band drum kits for the Xbox One, which should work on the Series X|S consoles, but as SwordofWhedon said, they are now expensive, and can be very hard to find now.

You need the MIDI adapter, good luck finding one.

You would have to ask the developers and publishers of those games that question. The only one on Xbox One/Series X|S is Rock Band 4. The older games are not backward compatible because they need the Xbox 360 peripheral (guitar, Drums etc, etc). Also, the 360 backward compatible program has now ended, and no more of those games are to be made compatible.

If you would like new versions of those games for current gen consoles, then contact the developer and publishers about it.
