    I live in France and was sent an XBoxOneX console as a gift, from the USA. I am trying to set it up but cannot seem to find any information on:

    - Do I need some kind of voltage adapter in order to use the USA XBoxOneX console here in France, given the difference in voltage between the USA and Europe?

    - Or can I just use a plug adaptor on the USA plug on the power cord, and go ahead and plug it straight in?

    Any help is much appreciated!

    Hi,

    All Xbox consoles since the Xbox One S have been multi-voltage. This means they will work any country. The easiest way to connect your gifted console into the mains in France is to buy what's called a fig 8 power cable. You'll need one with French/Euro plug. The current power cable will have a US mains plug, so you can't use this.

    Figure 8 power cables can be bought online or from most electrical stores. For your country it Looks like this:

    You should never use any type of power converter with your console.They can damage the console & void the warranty.

    If you want to use you console in a different country you need to buy the correct power brick for the country you are in.
