Used to play Gears of War 4 trial version, now can't pay from disc (and I also have Game Pass)

I've had the disc version of the game, and my profile did the same thing, but now I purchased the game from Games On-Demand because my disc was ruined (siblings...) and now it does the same thing for the Games On-Demand version of the game. I don't even
have a gamesave on my current HDD because I've already finished the game but I want to play some online multiplayer. So yes, I've attempted to play fresh but I can't even get past the "press start to play screen". I can play other games fine and I can't play
my Gears of War 2 on other consoles downloaded or disc and I can play with other profiles.

I would say - with a 99.9% certainty - that there won't be a problem. Trials, where the full game is downloaded, but the game is limited to certain amount of time will convert to the full game, whether this via a disc or a digital purchase.

My digital Trial of Gears of War 4 changed to the full unlocked game - without any additional downloads when I purchased it this weekend. And a 10 hour trial of one of the FIFA games worked perfectly when my nephew bought the disc version and put the disc
in my console.

You shouldn't need to do the download again.

I'm having the same issue as others, and I didn't play the trial version before downloading the full version and playing thanks to Game Pass. I only selected the trial version when I began getting the message that I didn't have rights to play the game. I
uninstalled the game, reset the console, and then then reinstalled. When that didn't work, I attempted to see if installing the trial version would do something; it let me play for the 30 minute trial, and now I get the trial expired error message.

So I don't think it's the trial version that's the issue; for some reason, the game isn't being recognized as a part of the game pass.

I would probably be less annoyed and upset if this game wasn't the sole reason I decided to pay for the game pass.

Do you refer to the new DLC for Minecraft? because there's some "Free Skins" in trial version of the DLC, that are:

4 Racer Outfit

King, Queen, Knight, Nurse, and others one I don't remember right now.

But, if you mean the full DLC, with the Banjo, Halo, Gears of War, Trials Evolution, etc. As far I know you had to pay for it.

And about the Summer of Arcade banner, Probably it would "Appear" if you turn off the 3° Party Announcements and Publicity from your Preferences in your Console.

The next time i have to pay is end of march and I only had to pay 1 Euro so far. This means Microsoft is gifting me 5 months of Game pass. I have to admit, I didn't anticipated this. Really nice move from them.

I just wanted to test Gears 5 before buying it, because I was a bit disappointed with Gears of War 4s ultimate edition. Now I can additionaly play other games for free the next few months.

I'm really happy with this conclusion.
