    Hi!

    I have connected my Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller via USB to a PC running Windows 10 (19041) and I can use it to play games without any issues. However, there is no new audio device to select to get audio to the controller and of course no sound come
    via the controller headphone jack.

    Is it a Windows driver bug, some hardware problem with the controller or is there something I'm supposed to do to get it to work?

    I'm unsure exactly how it is supposed to work. Use headphones with Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller and Win 10 PC :)

    So, regardless of whether the controller is connected or not I have this list:

    SPDIF-Out (USB Sound Blaster HD)

    Speaker (USB Sound Blaster HD)

    MSI MPG341CQR (NVIDIA High Definition Audio)

    Speakers (Steam Streaming Speakers)

    Speakers (Steam Streaming Microphone)

    Awesome! Good job checking that. Right-click on the speaker icon in your system tray and then click Open Sound Settings. At the top of the new pop-up, you should be able to choose your output device... what options do you have?

    Try installing the Xbox Accessories app and make sure the controller doesn't require any updates.
    Thanks! This was one of the things I did when I first connected the controller and it did get updated to version 4.8.1908.0. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any newer updates available.

    Haha! Ok. It does actually work. :D

    Don't know what went wrong at first though (maybe I didn't connect the headphones fully). I actually do get an output device for the controller headphones, but only when the headphones are connected to the controller. This surprised me, since I expected there
    to be one regardless.

    Happy to have it working, and this should probably have been obvious to me :p

    Have to say I'm disappointed with the material you get with this expensive device so brief though. It's hardly a manual.
