    So I was trying to use a code on the xbox one and found it to be a series of steps, once I found the app I am unable to pin it to my apps home page, why? I own the xbox one without the kinect, was hoping to pin this app to home and manually enter codes when
    I get them. I have to go to apps and games, search apps, and scroll to the right a bit to find the use a code app. Normally I would just go to my apps and use it there, is there a trick to pinning this app since it doesn't let me?

    Can't type in code

    Whenever I click "use a code" or really anything involving the store it says "check for an update or uninstall the app" my questions are how do you update the store and uninstall it and has anyone else ever had this problem

    Turn a Text Code into a QR Code

    I got my NowTV credit for Xbox live today. They emailed he familiar text code and I ought it'd be cool to turn that into a QR code that Kinect could read for me on the X1.
    Dead easy, I used the iOS app
    Fancy QR Code Generator
    But plenty of others are available, including websites
    Copied and pasted the text into the text box in the app, clicked generate and then saved the QR code as an image
    Used the command, Xbox, use a code then used my iPad to show Kinect my QR Code and it worked. Sweet Use a code app question. :)

    An easy solution for this problem would be to get your friend to download the Xbox App on either their Mobile device and/or PC. Get them to sign into the account you sent the code to. Go to the Microsoft store within the app. Click "Redeem code", and get
    your friend to put in the code. The reason he is unable to redeem it on his Xbox is because the actual console is region locked. Therefor, using the app eliminates the problems.

    It seems that the organization that has control of your 'Work/School Account' has requested that this account has two-factor authentication.

    I know this might sound like a silly question but when you scanned the QR code, did you do this in the authenticator app itself? If you scan the code using your standard camera app, it won't recognise it.

    In the authenticator app, click add account (or the + symbol) - select Work or school account - Select Scan QR code

    Don't forget to select 'Show QR Code' on the Chromebook.
