    Hello!

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums regarding this situation. I understand you're having an issue with your captures on a USB device is that correct? Have you tried Uploading your clips or recordings to Xbox Live or One Drive for storage? Give
us a few more details to determine how to best assist you with this. Give it a try doing what you're trying to do with the USB device removed from the situation and let us know how it goes.

    Problem Xbox and Splitter HDMI

Typically you dont want to use a spliter

It degrades the signal and thats when you get constant flashing

Are you sure you are using usb 3 ports cause 2s wont cut it

And yes you can get a usb 3 ones

However spliting a 4k single does cause problems

Since you are doing it twice

One to your monitor and one to your usb capture card

Its probably better to use hdmi directly to the capture card

    Then pc to monitor

xbox one screen shot not uploading to onedrive, only the folder was created.

Hello again, unfortunately the captures already made is not yet possible.

About the external storage it is enough to be USB 3.0, you can format storage on Xbox or PC.

I only have a USB wireless headphones that don't have a 3.5 mm Jack on them nd I am trying to put commentary on my gameplay videos

Hello, and thanks for getting in touch. I'm Aileen, and I'm here to provide you with advice as an Independent Advisor.

Since you're using a USB wireless headset without a 3.5 mm jack, and you're on an Xbox Series S (the small one), I want to set your expectations early — Xbox consoles do not support USB audio devices like headsets through the USB port for voice chat or commentary. That includes USB dongles, even if the headset works fine on PC.

Here’s a workaround you can try without buying anything new:

    > Option 1: Use Xbox Party Chat and Record via Capture Card (if available)

If you already use a capture card (like Elgato), plug your headset into your PC and join the Xbox party through the Xbox App on your computer. Then:

On your PC, open the Xbox Console Companion App or Xbox Game Bar, sign in.

Join the Xbox Party Chat from your PC using your USB wireless headset.

Record your gameplay commentary via OBS or your capture software.

This method gives you your voice + gameplay, and it keeps everything free.

    > Option 2: Record voice separately and sync later

If you don’t have a capture card:

Use your USB headset on your PC or laptop to record your voice separately with free software like Audacity.

Play your game and record it using the Xbox capture feature (double-tap Xbox button > press X to record).

Later, sync your commentary to the gameplay using free editing software like DaVinci Resolve or CapCut PC.

This method takes a little time to sync, but no new purchases are needed.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Looking forward to your response.

2 weeks of corrupted captures or just not recording!

    Same problem here.

Two different Xbox, different USB 3.1 sticks and same result.

4k capture are corrupted after 2 sec.

The funny part is this was working really well before they updated the way we capture gameplay.
