    USB slots not working


    So the recently added keyboard and mouse support has been working great for me but starting yesterday i went to play fortnite and one of the back usb slots quit working but the one i had my mouse plugged into still worked. i dont know what to do.

    Hello Bryston,

    Thanks for coming to the forums. Can you try a different USB slot for the keyboard and see if it works? If it does work in other USB slots could be that slot went bad, it happens from time to time unfortunately. You can go to

    device support     to see if console is in warranty. If you want you can set up a repair for it, or if you have a Microsoft store nearby, you can take it there to see what they can do for you.

    USB slots not working

    If just the USB port stopped working, you can simply plug an USB hub into the working USB port and connect Mouse and Keyboard to the USB Hub. So you have both input devices running on the working USB port.

    However, others also reported the mouse or keyboard stopped working in Fortnite for them, and it could be a game related issue.

    Since Keyboard and Mouse support is developer specific, you might also want to contact Epic Support for that issue.

    You can change the cable and if the usb slot on the xbox is not working you can plug it into a different usb slot.

    No. But USB 3.0 is backwards compatible so it can still work in a 2.0 slot.

    I dont have that chatpad keyboard. Can I just plug in my USB keyboard into the USB slot on the back? Will that work for typing?
