USA - Gift Card Code - Sent to Ireland - will not work

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I purchased two (2) $100 gift card codes from Amazon and then sent those to two (2) separate accounts for two (2) friends in Ireland. They are unable to use those codes. I am assuming this is something related to regional items; however, I want to know
how to get those codes useable or at least get refunded and then re-order said codes through the proper channels. I was aware of regional technology but stupidly thought this wouldn't matter when it came to gift cards or codes. Thank you for your time and

can i send xbox 360 credit to friends in other countrys..

i got xbox credit for a friend as an xmas gift i sent the code i live in ireland they are american the code wont work can it be done if not why

Gift Card

My uncle bought 2 gift cards of 20 dollars each in USA. Then he brought them to Brazil, but he did not know that he had to keep the receipt, because here in Brazil the gift cards are different, they do have the codes in the card itself. I wanted to know
if theres anyway to retrieve the codes.

This only works for people residing in the USA. Is there anyway to get the gift card to work in other countries (not using a VPN)

Also I'm a year late. I have the same issue as German living in Finland.

I set the box to German location and bought gift cards / game codes from Germany via a web store.

If you want English I recommend to set you location to Ireland as the Scandinavian Microsoft store cards are for Norway/Sweden/Denmark/Finland and Ireland.

I did not buy a card. Xbox live sent a code to me for a $5 gift card.

I bought my console here in Ireland and I had minecraft sent over from the States as a gift and it worked. I'm not sure about other games but that guy that said only games from Ireland will work is wrong. Region free is region free.

Also don't buy your games in ireland. They are too expensive. I buy them from simplygames.com in the UK and they are 50% cheaper than Gamestop.
