US store games work on AU console

If i.purchased a game.from the microsoft us store. Would it work on my AU console

Can't download the map packs in Australia?!?!?

This is how region restricted content works. In order to access it you must meet
all of the criteria:



XBL Account Region+Game Disc Region+Actual Physical Live in Region=Must match



example:



US+US+Au=Denied US+US+US=Access US+Au+US=Denied US+UK+Au=Denied



Since your account is out of region and the content is region restricted you will not be able to get it with that account. What you would need to do is create a free Au account, add Au ms points to it and download the English
version of the DLC. Then so long as you do not change consoles the other accounts on the console can share the DLC.



Also, if you live in a non-Live supported region you would not be able to access the DLC and there would be no work around for it.

 

Absolutely, but some games can contain region restrictions. Games are usually linked to your account, not necessarily by region. Some regions are more compatible than others though. US and Canada regions transfer well, as I live on both sides of the border
depending on the time of year. Discs however, can contain region restrictions.

 

We advise you to dont buy on others country, may it cause region problems with laws and others restrictions;

 

For xbox one, yes. The consoles can play all region titles. For the xbox 360, no. The 360 was region specific so PAL consoles could not play NTSC content, and APJ region boxes could not play US content and vise versa. Mind you for digital purchases in
region payment is required many times, so you would have to have a US billing / payment ability to purchase content. But if you were to buy content in the US and move to AU, yes the content would work on the other regions console if we are discussing an Xbox
One console.

 

If disc, no problem. If digital also no problem unless that game is not available in your country. Some digital games are region locked even on the One. It happened to me already.

 

If the game isn't region locked you should have no troubles playing it! If it is you may run in to some difficulties but normally before you buy a game if it is region locked it will tell you prior to the purchase. Best of luck!
