    May I know what was the verification code for? Was it for account login verification or password reset?

    It's possible that someone knows your account primary alias you use to sign-in to your account. I recommend that you change your sign-in preferences by going through https://account.microsoft.com > Your info > Edit account info > Sign-in preferences.

    I have received three 1 month codes. I received 1st one when I was emailed in Portuguese that there was a delay.

    I called to let them know that I received an email in Portuguese. Then about 2 weeks later I received a 2nd one in an email this time in English saying the same thing there was delay. Then I received another one when I phoned Support about another month
    later.

    Unfortunately, you cannot get a replacement for the 16 digit promotion code. Its a one time process. Also, just to let you know. Even if you have completed the process on the wrong account(not the intended one to use), you'll receive the code and you can
    use that to the correct account. It was never mentioned that you cannot use the code that will be sent to the email of another account.
