Upgrading internal hard drive from HDD to SSD. Why won't my Xbox accept the SSD?

    Hello,

I have been working on upgrading my Xbox's hard drive from a HDD to SSD. Both are 500GB. I know how to physically remove the hard drive and install the SSD, however the issue is with the installation of Xbox OS. I have tried using a flashdrive, cloning my
old hard drive onto my new SSD, doing simple resets on troubleshoot screen, etc. Nothing seems to work. I was almost positive the cloned hard drive would work as I made both the partition names and the drive letters the exact same as the HDD, but it didn't.
Does anyone know a tool that I can use within Windows 10 to make a hard drive work internally on an Xbox One S? For example Microsoft has a tool for Windows that creates a bootable flash drive I could boot too and it would install Windows for me. A tool to
create a bootable flash drive or fully partition a hard drive I choose and install the OS properly would be great.

    :)

Anyone touching the inside the box is losing warranty or repair rights. so, like others have said. That is a subject for some Reddit maybe.

When you purchase your console and set up your account you agree to the Xbox ToU and CoC which states that you are not allowed to self repair your console. Once opened you have voided any option for service on that console. There is no way to replace the
drive or get the OS necessary to run on the console.

You will now need to get a new Xbox One

I'm sorry, but you are not allowed to talk about self mod or self repair on the forums. Sorry but no one on here can help you.

The Xbox Internal drive is not meant to be replaced by the end user. Doing so can risk your console being banned from the Live Network. Your self repair/upgrade maybe the reason for your fault. Either way, we can not help with this.
