If you preorder a game and them they come out with a limited edition can you upgrade your preorder by paying the difference

Hey there.

Your best course of action would be to contact support - they can refund you the preorder for the standard edition (as long as you do it today, before the game releases), and then you can purchase the gold edition.

It would depend on where you purchased it from. If you purchased it digitally you would have to contact support to see if they can cancel the original order and then you'd have to purchase the limited edition.

Depending on who you're preordering with, you should be able to upgrade your preorder if and when a different edition is announced.

There's no upgrade option available for that game. You'd just have to cancel your current preorder and then preorder the deluxe edition.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

You may need to cancel the pre-order and since it's not yet released you should be able to as well as a refund will be automatic if you have used a Microsoft balance.

To do so, please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders, locate the game order and you will see an option to "cancel order".
