Upgraded Windows on Asus G50V Gaming Laptop now cant install/play games or open store

1. How do you update your Windows? Is it by Windows Update or via a System installation media like a U-disk or CD?

2. Did you get any error message in the refreshing interface and would you like to share it with us for our further investigation? (Pay attention to shield your private info when taking screenshots)

3. You mentioned that a lot of installations lost. Do you refer to Windows built-in apps or third-party apps?

There will be three options during your updating or installing, which one have you chosen?





At the same time, you can try:

1. Check and ensure a good network. Or switch the current Internet connection to a mobile hotspot or another broadband connection if it's possible.

2. Press Windows + X and open Windows PowerShell (Admin) > Type: Get-AppxPackage -allusers | foreach {Add-AppxPackage -register "$($_.InstallLocation)\appxmanifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode} and hit Enter key > Allow the command executed and then restart your Windows.

I fixed the problem with an forced little WIndows 10 update, not the upgrade. Now I can install via MS Store, Xbox beta app still cant install games for me. Previously I was able to install all game via store, but not Gears 5.

The problem started after the last update of Taptiles, because now when I press the large Original tile to go to a daily challenge game, the screen will go black for a second like the advert is going to start and then when I pressed the play button after
the puzzle has appeared, the blue bar would drop down and then the laptop froze.

I upgraded to laptop to Windows 8.1 a couple of months after it became available in the store and I then installed the latest version via Windows Update.

Launch PowerShell as an administrator and enter

“get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers”

Restart your PC, open PowerShell as admin again, and enter

“start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN”

The Microsoft Store will open and ask to install Gaming Services, install. Then try to play any game again.

I have the same problem on my ASUS laptop, but it works fine on my ASUS home computer. Both just upgraded to W10.
