Upgrade Xbox Live Gold to GPU [PC]

As above, you exisiting Live Gold gets converted to Ultimate and cannot then be changed back. It means you get the added benefits of GPU (games and whatnot) for the same price as Live Gold as GPU contains LG.

From the GPU page:

"Joining Xbox Game Pass Ultimate automatically upgrades your existing Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC, and/or EA Play (purchased through Xbox) memberships."

So, if you had 12 months of Gold, then you should now have 12 months of Ultimate. It cannot then be downgraded back to Live Gold:

"Once converted, you cannot re-convert your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership back to a previous membership"

When you upgrade to GPU all your subscriptions are upgraded. Both Live and game pass. You don't have Live and GPU at the same time, you only have GPU, since it is service that contains Live, Game pass, and game pass PC.

It's a 1:1 ratio. Anytime you upgrade to Ultimate from standard Gold/Game Pass it's a ratio of 1:1. It's when you already have Ultimate and add standard Gold/Game Pass to it that the ratio changes.

I understand where you’re coming from, but regardless to whether you use the PC Gamepass or not, GPU is cheaper than a Gamepass Subscription and XBL gold seperately, so why not just upgrade? Plus - if you have existing gamepass or xbox live gold time prepaid
it will just convert 100% of that time to GPU (as long as its on your account beforehand - adding gold or gamepass prepaid after converting does a lower ratio).
