Upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Deal after cancelling

When you bought the Game Pass Ultimate deal it would have cancelled your Gold, but upgraded it to Ultimate as well. So you would have had the 1 month of Ultimate you bought plus the remainder of the time left from Ultimate. If you cancelled the Ultimate subscription, it would have cancelled everything. If you didn't, then you should still have Ultimate running.

if you upgrade it will say that the Live Gold is cancelled.

if you did upgrade, check that your Game Pass Ultimate is active.

if it is active then everything is working as it should be and you will still have all the features of Live Gold, but they will be under your Game Pass Ultimate subscription instead.

When you upgrade to Ultimate, any gold or game pass you already have on your account is cancelled and upgraded to Ultimate since Ultimate already includes those. So cancelling your Ultimate cancels everything.

when you upgrade to ultimate game pass and have Xbox live it will add the number of days of Xbox live to ultimate game pass making it 36 months, but I suggest after 36 months you cancel because there are conversion when adding more Xbox live to your account
and provide fewer days to ultimate game pass.

I'm assuming you're talking about the deal to convert Xbox Live Gold and Gamepass to the Ultimate subscription. If you read the description on this page
it says "Joining Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will upgrade your remaining Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass for Console or Xbox Game Pass for PC time into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for the same amount of time, up to 36 months". So you will still be able to take advantage
of the deal. At the moment there's also an offer to get 2 months of Gamepass Ultimate for $2 on top of whatever is converted.
