Upgrade a guest profile from 360?

Years ago I made a guest profile on my Xbox 360 Ang for used it well for several years, with all of my save-data staying on that guest profile on the 360. I never connected it to the internet or Xbox Live because I didn't have Xbox Live at the time.

I have Xbox Live and an Xbox account now. Is there a way I can salvage all my old data and attach it to my current account? Or even just make the guest profile it's own new account, and then I'll use it instead.

Have you tried adding a guest account from the sign in icon on the top left corner? First sign in as yourself, then click on the top left corner where your profile picture is, then click add a guest to that profile.

No she doesn't need her own profile or gold membership, she just signs in as a guest while logged into your account.

If I connect the profile to an account and give it Live, would logging into that same Live account on a new Xbox One console sync the saves or achievements over or anything like that? Is that end goal achievable in any way?

 

When you transform the guest profile into a Microsoft account, it will have access to all Xbox Live services, including the ability to transfer Xbox 360 cloud-saved game saves to Xbox One. Keep in mind that Xbox Live Gold is required to enable Xbox 360
cloud-saves. Your offline account's Gamerscore, achievements and game saves are all available and become part of the new profile, but they cannot be transferred to any existing Microsoft account and gamertag.

 

Sorry to be redundant lol but just so that i understand correctly:

If I upgrade that guest profile by giving it a real gamertag and connecting it to a Microsoft account, I couldn't use my current Microsoft account because it already has a gamertag attached? I would have to make a new Microsoft account or figure out how
to remove the current gamertag?

 

Correct. You cannot have 2 accounts on 1 Microsoft account.
