updating xbox one controller on pc

encountered annoying problem when tried to update my xbox controller on pc...

so when I opened xbox accessories to update controller, app is telling me that it has to be connected via usb cable which I already did..

why it doesn't recognize being connected to it could be cause controller is automatically connected via bluetooth which when I disable on pc just makes controller to start blinking searching for bluetooth signal and eventually turning off so it won't work
if bluetooth is not present therefore can't do absolutely nothing to update it

usb cable was connected on every possible usb slot on pc, powered and unpowered ones and I'm charging controller with it so it's functional

update is not possible via bluetooth only usb so how am I supposed to do that when in order to stay connected it has to have bluetooth signal otherwise will shut off when can't get one....

entire reason of looking for updating it in the first place was unstable and quirky behaviour in games and for some reason was affecting even the games in general making them unplayable and dropping fps in games for some reason( with usb connected works
better but unstable, when unplugged fps drops immediately from let say 80 fps to 40-50 fps in game....why is that even happening)

and of course that I checked latest windows updates and drivers and graphic drivers etc

is it possible that usb cable is capable delivering power for charging but not entire data throughput, and would buying wifi dongle helped stability maybe removing interferences or is it the same as already integrated bluetooth 5.0 on my brand new aorus
pro wifi motherboard which is more than capable to deliver data wirelessly

I tried to uninstall and reinstall game controller drivers(windows 10 latest updates checked) but the ones you get I guess are some generic drivers sooo...problem persist...
