updating xbox 360 through internet

I want to update the system, because a message keeps reminding me that there is an update available, but when I try to update it in the middle of the download it fails and shows me

can't process the update if problem persists, goto xbox.com/support

status code : 4476-4497-1381-0300-C800-0036

I could not find a solution from the recommended link.

Just a heads up that the error is usually an indicator of a software or a hardware problem. If you cannot go to your main dashboard without updating, you may try to update the console through other methods like updating using a flash drive.

If that will not help, sadly the console would already need a repair.

You will have to connect your Xbox 360 console to the internet, in your case, with the ethernet port.

Thank you all for your help. Someone else on campus with a 360S said that sharing an internet connection through his computer instead of directly through the school's network solved the problem.
