Updating from X360 to XONE

Sup peoples.

I have a copy of destiny, a disc copy, for the X360 but i am upgrading to an xbox one. Will i be eligble to receive, for free, the Xone version of Destiny via download? I know this is available for those that have digitally downloaded a copy of destiny to their
X360 consoles.

I was planning on purchasing it again for the XOne, but if it's available to download as it's been purchased already then no point paying for another copy.

It's pretty lame that you can't get it thru download If you bought the game especially the legendary edition! But I guess that's just how it works. But you will be able to have the season pass and whatever add-ons you have previously downloaded on your Xbox

No, you will not. You needed to purchase the digital copy for the free upgrade.

 

How about if i purchase the season pass on the X360? Would that be sufficient to get the free copy on XONE. Mind you the pass is at £35.00, but i dont mind tbh. Free content WoOt!

Again, no. You can purchase the season pass and (I think) it will work for the One as well as the 360, but in order to get the free upgrade you need to buy the digital download.

 

The season pass will indeed transfer but you'll have to buy a copy of Destiny for Xbox 1 unfortunately. One suggestion would be to sell your 360 copy to cover some of the cost. If you still plan on playing it on 360 some because of friend's still sell the
disc and buy the digital 360 version and get the free Xbox One upgrade. The free digital upgrage offer ends on January 15th f.y.i.
