and update failed

Question About 2/16/12 Update

Thanks man, I guess im going to have to start updating through usb so that nothing goes wrong even though I have been updating through xbox live this whole time and no console failures yet. I just wanted to make sure because I have been seeing more of these
posts about console failures through this update then any other.

Reset router & modem. Should be a pin sized hole on back. Hold down for 5 secs. Should allows machines to re-acquire IP's at optimum performance.

offline between several update cycles and the flash memory goes bad during that offline period, ANY update would cause a failure, not just a specific update.

Your console asked for an update because the hard drive failed and it could not read the previous install of the update. It's not the update that causes the failure but rather the failure causes the need for an update.

ok microsoft said that the disc drive is constantlly running even if there is nothing in it they will fix it if you send it in
