Updated security, now I'm locked out of activating xbox live for 1 month

I do have access to one of my security proofs. I have 1 or 2 emails setup as well but it wants to proof my old cell phone number first and i decided to change that and now its locking me out without even letting me use my other proofs... the system is annoying
and bothersome.. If i pay for xbox live and want to update my security info to better improve my account.. i shouldn't be punished and lose a month of xbox live... I realize i can still do most of what i need to on my xbox but i cannot access my previous transactions
to request refunds or any other situation that actually matters.

Thanks for the response. I was thinking about that. but then again i read about a lock out for almost a month to recover 1.2k points. Ive secured my windows live id and gamertag. they didnt far enought to lock me out. gonna have to take a loss on this i
guess.

You manage your account settings on the Microsoft account site:

https://account.microsoft.com/account

Select Account - Security in the menu below the Search icon and then select Update your security info. Add the new number and verify it first before removing the old number.

same issue, was auto update. system says updated correctly but now I'm locked out GGRRRRRR

If you haven't updated your security proofs it may be locking you out until you have completed it. Try going to
account.live.com/proofs and completing the proofs section by adding an email or cell number and then inputting the code sent into the site. This may clear your problems as the security proofs are
a requirement for securing your account against hacking. You do not have to activate two-step security.
