    How do we contact xbox support in south africa. The only thing we can do is chat to an AI bot which is not very helpful. I need to chat with the xbox support team regarding updating the warranty status since I have the proof of purchase.

    Just to clarify something, you live in South Africa, but is your account region also South Africa? You can check this by going to
    https://billing.microsoft.com and clicking on "Go to personal information". If that doesn't also say South Africa, you may continue having issues with the marketplace and purchasing.

    Basically what the others mentioned when you buy an console out of region you take the risk

    And yes the warranty is only honoured in region this also applies with amazon

    If your friends purchased a extended warranty like I did it does only come with a year warranty

    And no there is no e3 3 year announcement

    If you can provide someone address in the US the warranty would be honoured as most companies

    And yes warranties are region specific as they wouldn't have a us xbox in South africa

    If your "friends bought extended warranty and i n southn Africa then they would be covered under south African warranty

    This is in your documentation

    You should've followed your friends example and purchased a console in region

    Or if they had a friend in the usa

    If they purchased out of region it wontnshow up as out of region until.tjeu try and claim us warranty out of region

    My xbox one s is covered under 3 years bit only because I bought the extended warranty and yes it shows up on my xbox account

    Here’s how to fix it:

    Step 1: Check and update your Microsoft account region

    Visit: https://account.microsoft.com/profile

    Scroll to Country/Region

    If it’s not set to South Africa, update it to match your location

    Important:

    If you change your Microsoft account region, there will be a 30-day lockout before you can switch it again. This could affect you if you're only visiting South Africa or if your account is still tied to another country. Purchases will be limited to the store region your account is set to.

    Step 2: Make sure your device is set to South Africa

    On PC:

    Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region

    Set Country or region to South Africa

    Restart your PC after saving

    On Xbox:

    Press the Xbox button > Settings > System > Language & location

    Set Location to South Africa, then restart your console

    Step 3: Use the correct store version

    Go to: https://www.microsoft.com/en-za/store

    This is the South Africa storefront (“en-za” confirms the region).
