I have an xbox one x, ya know that new thing ya just released and updating Grid messed it up.

Now I cant even wipe it without severe hassle.

I am currently downloading a file and attempting to go through this tutorial/instruction that is not for an xbox one x so pressing Bind Buttons, eject buttons then pressing the on button whilst rubbing my belly and tapping myself on the head is not possible.

Heres the file I am downloading and insttructions Im following:

Its got about another hour before the download is complete. Seriously, throttling my download? Why the heck are microsoft a computer company, they should move into another niche oif they charge massive fees to keep using their services and then throttling
the users.

I only wanted to buy F1 2019 but Ive gone off that idea all together.

So lease tell me if the instructions above will solve my E101 error at startup troubleshooter and the instruction at the above link are the right ones to follow before I trash any more of my evening.

PS. This was going to be a completely RATIONAL: queery but Im that [Mod Removed - Inappropriate] at present because of the hassle I have had getting my console to start over the past 3 hours leaves me thinking microsoft are a complete joke.
Having to ask the community for a solution in the hope that someone will respond to my irrationality is yet another joke. And on it goes.

"there is no bind button on a xbox one X"

The BIND button is located on the left side of the console.

An E101 error indicates you may have a hardware problem and the console needs to be repaired.

Also, if you are in the Insider program, OSU's will not work and are not compatible with Insider OS previews

When you attempted the OSU did you disconnect the ethernet cable before starting it?

No, I it is wireless? Could that be an issue. ie. should I disconnect the router/turn it off?

Have you try doing a hard reset or holding the Xbox button on your remote? If you hold it down and select reset it will not delete any of your information on Xbox or your games. Or you could try contacting customer support hoping it will work.

All Xbox one consoles have the bind button, it's the button you'd use to sync a controller to the Xbox. On the X it's located just to the left and below the power button right next to the front USB port.

Thanks, I couldn't find it labelled anywhere on the xbox one x page. But I did first try pressing both front small buttons when doing the recycle start but as mentioned the error changed to E102 still. Im just extracting the files and it is good to know
that the button you refer to is the bind button.
