Update Your Email Address

If you no longer have access to the email address associated with your Microsoft account, you will need to update your email address in order to receive authentication codes and other account-related information.

Here are the steps you can follow to update your email address associated with your Microsoft account:

Go to the Microsoft account sign-in page and log in with your current email address and password.

Once you are signed in, click on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner of the page, and select "View account" from the dropdown menu.

On the Account page, click on "Your info" in the navigation bar at the top of the page.

Under "Contact info," click on "Email."

On the Email page, you can add a new email address under "Add email." Enter your new email address, and click on "Add email."

Microsoft will send a verification code to your new email address. Enter the verification code on the Email page and click on "Verify."

Once your new email address is verified, you can select it as your primary email address by clicking on "Make primary" next to the email address.

After you have updated your email address, you can use the new email address to authenticate your Microsoft account and update your Xbox Live privacy settings.

Note: If you have enabled two-step verification, you may need to update your authentication method to use the new email address. You can do this by going to the Security page on your Microsoft account and selecting "Update info" under "Security info."

Hey there PleasingDesert6! The link Vibroplex provided should give you the option to 'Update email address' listed under your current MS account email. There you can either 'Create a new email address' or 'Use a different address' and update your email!

You can go to account.microsoft.com in order to update your email address, log in with your current email address accociated with your xbox live, then click edit from there and enter a new e-mail address, also like a previous replay from D3ATH PRONE you
can only update your email address 30 days after account creation

I'm just going to clarify on Vibroplex's obscure message. If you lose access to all proofs on the account then yes, you do have to wait for the 30 day cool down period. This is another security measure intended to protect your account. However, if you have
access to one proof on the account, you can confirm the proofs you are attempting to add with the one proof you have access to. If you confirm these proofs, they are added instantly with no delay.

So yea. If you lost access to the proofs on the account, bummer man, and I feel your pain. Hope you get this resolved.
