"Update your console's lcation" error

I keep getting an error message that says "Update your console's location" and has the instruction "Go to System > Settings > System > Language & location to match it to your current location."

The problem I'm having is that it already does match my current location. The settings are correct. I haven't moved house, or even moved my console to a different room. Nothing at all has changed in my location so I don't understand why it's saying I need to update my console's location.

Thanks, is important to use a different network to isolate a bit more the issue.

Are you not able to share mobile hotspot via wifi and connect the console in that way?

If you already tried reinstalling the app, try this:

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.

Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

After that, try to remove and re-add your profile on the console.

Also disconnect your router from power for about 3 minutes. Then connect it again an when everything is working, try again

If that doesn't work do this:

go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings

Once you’re inside the Advanced Settings menu, go to DNS settings and select Manual from the list of available options.

When you get to the next screen, enter 8.8.8.8 in the box associated with the Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 in the Secondary DNS box.

Once the default DNS addresses have been changed, restart your console and see if the issue has been resolved at the next console startup.

(use 1.1.1.1 as primary and 1.0.0.1 as secondary if the previous DNS address doesn't work)

When they mean location they mean your region

If you don't live in an xbox live region it wont work

If you ate in.an embargoed country like Russia.good luck.to you

Yes, the Rewards App is what I'm trying to open.

I'm in the UK, in Englend. I use a wired connection and I cannot try a different network because I don't have one.

This error occurs if your console has been tampered with or modified. Your console can no longer connect to Xbox LIVE, install software updates, or play new games that require a console software update.
