    I was with another Microsoft answer tech for 4 hours last night and he concluded saying that I would receive an email with the solution or resolution to their investigation in a few hours. It’s been almost 12 hours and I have not received an email. Microsoft support also has responded to the tweet but all they said was to follow their account so we can message. I have a followed the account and messaged and am waiting for a response.

    I have also had a failed update today ... I was directed to the diagnostic offline system update by Microsoft chat support and the zip file I downloaded would not extract ... got error 0x80004005 host.xvd file.

    This means that your console is actually trying to update but it is failing.

    The next best option is an offline update.

    To use the Offline System Update, you'll need:

    A Windows-based PC with an Internet connection and a USB port

    A USB flash drive with a minimum 6 GB of space formatted as NTFS

    After 3 failed attempts at an offline system update the console has gone off for an exchange/repair. There will now be a minutes silence.
