Update killed my xbox one.

I have an xbox one which worked fine until yesterday. When I turned on the machine, an update was indicated.

During the update it appeared it got as far as "verifying" when it turned off. There was a note that the system would reboot.

Now my xbox is dead. Completely non-op. I tried the usual stuff of unplugging, plugging back in, etc. Nothing. No power, no lights, etc. Any ideas?

Any updates on this? It just happened to me today as well. Switching rooms didn't work, nor did the power bank reset or the "pair & eject" method

try getting into safe mode and do the offline update.

I had the same thing happen a day or two ago as well.

I have an original Xbox one and now it’s completely dead.

Reading and finding that these are no longer manufactured or supported by Microsoft 😐😐😐

May I know if you tried connecting the console to a different room to see if that helps?

Also, what Xbox one console do you have ?

That update was well know for killing xbox's. My one was killed by it as well. I had to buy another in the end.
