Update in the middle of playing a game

I'm very sorry you had to deal with this I bet many other people are frustrated with this too and they had the same problem. But make sure you restart your console often in case of any updates.

You are missing the point,maybe he does and at the time the update went live he was using his machine,stop making people look stupid.

You may reduce the interruptions by leaving your console on instant on so it can download the updates in the background while you are offline.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I have never had a game randomly update in the middle of playing it.

Yes, sometimes games require an update before you can play it, but this is easily solved by selecting 'instant on' in the power settings. Then games and console update just happen overnight.

I have never had to wait before playing a game... ever!

Interesting information and sorry to hear that. I haven't had my box shut down on my an do an update in the middle of game. I do have it setup to auto update though. I did find a morning that it seemed to be stuck on boot up, only to find it was in the
middle of doing an update an restarting, but never in the middle of the game. I tend to pick up everything in my game, but it use to be you could go back to an area and find stuff sitting around. I remember playing some levels in Division 1 over an over and
coming back to see all kinds of color drops around the city, old stuff I'd left.
