Update froze in the middle

When I tried downloading anew update for Shadow of Mordor today I got a good portion through it but had to leave so I shut of off the Xbox one and left hoping to resume the update later. When I tried it again I could access the game but couldn't play because
it said that it was only 82% into the download and to be able to play. So I waited and it didn't change for over 2 hours so I went to check the downloads and there wasn't any going at that time. I have looked for a way to completely restart the update but
cannot find a way to do it.

why does horde mode keep crashing?

my xbox just froze in the middle of the keeps 2, I hope I didn't lose anything...

I paused the game in the middle of the first dragon sequence and it froze and crashed my Xbox... Had to turn it off and on again. Is that common?

Please try performing an offline update by following the steps here:

For this process, you'll need a USB flash drive with at least 8GB of storage capacity.

The file used for this update varies depending on your console model. If you have an original Xbox One, you must use a different file than other consoles. You can find more information on the website I gave you.

No Andrew. Its my son's Xbox. He was in the middle of a game when the screen froze then went blank. No solution has worked so far.
