Update 5 win/loss change

Let me preface by saying a lot of the new features and fixes are great. However, one of them shines a light on something about this game that has annoyed me from the beginning, but I've ignored it because it wasn't really "hurting me."

>Match win/loss credit - Players are now rewarded win/loss credit at the moment of Victory/Defeat, rather than after the post-game scoreboard period. You also now receive a loss if you leave a match before a winner is determined. Previously you received
neither a win nor a loss if you quit before the post-game scoreboard.

I get dropped into games that are over (figuratively, sometimes literally!) more often than not. Why should I stick around when I'm dropped into a match that is so lopsided that it may as well be over, or even already in epilogue! More importantly, why should
I be credited with a loss if I'm dropped into a match in epilogue? I don't mind if we're slightly behind but the game is not 20 points from being over. I do mind being thrown into a game where a team is getting slaughtered and expecting me to stick around.
If I don't even fire a shot, or I'm only in there long enough to see the score, don't give me a loss.

I guess maybe they were trying to prevent people from leaving matches early? And were obviously trying to fix the problem where people could
start a match, then leave halfway through if they didn't like the way things were going.

This could be solved if they'd give you the option to wait for a fresh match. Or just force you to like most other games to, Imagine if Forza threw people into a 10 lap race and all the other players had done seven laps. Nobody is gonna stick around for
that. I know they can't get every little thing exactly how each individual player would want it. This seems like a fair/easy fix, though.

played 5 games of ctf...won all games but losses piled up

Not sure what the deal is...

I always keep track of my win/loss. Even though we won all 5 games, my win went up 5 but my loss went up 5 too??

wth? I played 1v1 this morning and it was fine.

 

Anyone trying to farm races later

I raced some last night. Think I got like tons of losses and like only 5 wins. Actually just checked social club. 6 wins and 34 losses. A lot of times i'm first place and people ram me off the road. Love the oval track around the prison. Think its
the best if no one rams you into a telephone pole. But darts i'm ranked #33 in world. 54 wins and 5 losses. Think only reason i'm #33 is cause of the 5 losses cause first place guy has a couple less wins but never lost yet.

 

Agreed, maybe worth taking up with @respawn or @titanfallgame ?

Considering it's a forum for video games and the people who play them I'm guessing somebody cares. Never said I was losing sleep over it!
