Unravel 2 Co op with Guest Account?

Was trying to play Unravel 2 with my brother and when it comes to the screen saying "Player 2 press any button to join" none of the controller buttons would let a second player come in. Is this one of those games that requires additional players to have their own Microsoft account, instead of just letting them play as a Guest?

I was having the same issue when trying to play the game Unravel Two via xcloud. Once I downloaded the game to my Xbox, the issue was solved!

Well thanks for trying to help.

Created a whole new account/profile and it still doesn't work. Guess we won't be getting to play that title. It still doesn't even recognize a second controller at all. Sad they make the couch co op process so accessible

I advise you to add an account, as a guest there is no way to save the guest's progress. When turning control 2 on it will automatically recognize and ask you to select the profile. I finished this game in local doubles, and we didn't have to do anything else to play in pairs, just turn on the controller and press the A.

Same Issue. Needed to download game to play two players with guest account. Did not work via Cloud. Tried everything.

I fully understand, the best option is to add or create another account.
