Unplugged xbox series S while it was "turned off"

Just here to confirm..I just got my series s last week and for the past 5 days what I used to do was hold the Xbox button on controller and then turn off console..then after 2 mins unplug all the cables and keep it in the box..it's only now that I got to know it was not completely shut down rather power saver..will it harm my console now?

Your console should be okay still, don't worry. But next time make sure to fully shutdown the console if you will be unplugging it from the wall socket.

should be ok but don't do it again, if you need to fully shut down choose energy saver from the power options or select full shutdown.

Yeah brother I’m also going through this at the moment. I had “fixed” it one day by unplugging the mouse turning off my controller plugging it again and turning on the controller while in the inventory menu. I thought that was fixed and unplugged it again but it didn’t work. I think only people with series s are suffering through this. Reply if you found a way please and ty

There is nothing to worry about, after the console is turned off and disconnected from the wall outlet it can take a short period of time for the console to use the last of the power.

Turns out it was somehow trying to connect to either the xbox one s or xbox series s consoles in my house for some reason. Turning them off fixed it.

Sidenote: In all my experiences with wireless xbox controllers (xbox 360, xbox one, xbox series x/s) the sync button needs to be held to be put into pairing mode (quarter ring rotating clockwise /flashing xbox logo), while the button on the console needs a single press, if it helps anyone.
