Unlinking EA account through Xbox account?

I linked my EA account to my Xbox account years ago and had no need to change/think about changing the info as it just always worked on my Xbox. Now, I am trying to use my PC to play EA games through my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. When I try to download an EA Play game using the Xbox GamePass app on my PC, I am asked to sign in. The email it prompts me to sign in with was set up with it is gone, I no longer have access and the number attached to my EA account is also gone as my account was set up years ago. I contacted EA support and they said they cannot help unless I provide my IP, date of birth, a previous purchase made on the EA account and the last 4 digits of the credit card associated with the EA account. I don't know some of these answers due to the age of the account and not actually remembering the answer to the last 2 questions. I did ask if they could just unlink without giving me access to the EA account but they said they cannot do that. Are there any other ways of unlinking the account? As I would like to play EA games on my PC.

Hello SouthernFried16, unfortunately the EA is correct, in this particular case as you no longer have access to the account you would have to provide this data so that they can unlink the account.

However you can unlink the EA from this account, for this you will have to click on the link below.

https://account.microsoft.com/privacy

After logging in, go down the page and look for "Services & Apps", clicking will take you to another page that will show which developers are linked to your Microsoft account.

Note: When you do this, you will no longer have access to what you purchased from EA with this account, but you may be able to create a new Account with the EA and link.

If your account is linked to an EA account that you do not have access to, you will need to talk to EA to unlink the account. No linking or unlinking process is done on the Xbox side.

only ea can unlink it, but there is another way to get in and unlink.

head over to https://www.ea.com/

click sign in then select the xbox logo and sign in with your xbox live account, here you can then unlink the ea account

You need to contact EA support to help you unlink your xbox account from EA account.

However keep in mind that if you unlink an Xbox gamertag from your EA Account, you can’t link a different Xbox gamertag to it in the future.

You should be able to unlink your Xbox account from your EA account by signing into your EA Account and under your profile info you should see all the linked profiles.
