Unlink Microsoft Account w/ Sea Of Thieves

The issue was fixed as soon as I re-installed the windows. It was probably left behind in my registry, there are two things you could do.

1. Reset the Windows Drive

2. I had contacted SOT support as well and they seem to have provided better and different options, including registry editing.

Shinobi (Sea of Thieves)

Ahoy there!

• Press the Windows key, type Credential Manager and press Enter.
  
• Within Credentials Manager, click Windows Credentials.
  
• Find Entries labelled Xbl_Ticket
  
• Left click any with 1717113201 in the name and select Remove
  
• Reboot Sea of Thieves
  

If the issue persists, please try the following:

• Press the Windows Key + G to open the Xbox Game Bar. Ensure that your username (*** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***) is signed in, click the Settings COG. Within the Accounts section scroll down to Social Networks and confirm that Steam is un-linked.
  

Then clear the cache of your Xbox Apps.

To do this:

• Press the Windows key and type Apps and Features
  
• Scroll down to the Xbox App and click Advanced Options
  
• Find the Reset option and click it.
  

Repeat this step for the Game Bar, Xbox Live and Xbox Console Companion apps.

Once complete, please sign your account (*** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***) back into the above areas.

• Boot the Sea as Thieves as normal through Steam and link the account (*** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***) to Steam when prompted.
  
• When the Xbox sign in message welcomes you to the game, click Lets Play.
  
• When prompted 'You've already linked your Steam account with Xbox Live' click Yes and Continue.
  
• Finally you will be informed that there are no friends to suggest via this messaging. Simply close that Window and you should progress into game.

I have the same problem... for 3h I’m trying to unlink it. I even deleted the Microsoft account and the game just crashes instead of allowing me to select a different account....

What to do ?! I’ll probably refund. Way to go...

and in the xbox app of w 10 in the game pass tab appears nothing too
