    "() unknown available" and missing library


    Having a handful of issues that are probably connected but not 100% sure how. Using the Xbox app with Game Pass downloaded from MS Store on Windows 10, updated to 22H2.

    • Under the Library window in the game store, it just says "Loading...". This never goes away, even though I have games installed via Xbox already that I know are still there.

    • If I try to install a new game, I get this () Unknown Available message and can't choose a drive to install to.

    • Things I've tried so far are:
      • Updating Windows
      • Updating the Microsoft Store
      • Uninstalling Xbox and reinstalling
        • This will temporarily make the library appear, but I can't install anything new.
      • Deleting the GamingServices and GamingServices.net registry keys and getting updates from MS Store.
        • This actually breaks it worse - instead of giving me the "unknown available" message, it instead prompts me to download game services again, but I can't download anything because it says it's already installed.
        • Tried removing the service with "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers" and reinstalling but still gives me the message that I need to install gaming services.
      • Rebuilding the MS Store using powershell.
    I can't think of anything else to try here. I don't know if it matters, but the drive that it's installed on is an M.2 SSD drive (shared with OS). Don't know if I can make it install to one of the other HDDs to see if that makes a difference like one other poster I saw said. Would appreciate any help - thanks folks!

    Hi Georges,

    I ran the chkdsk after reboot but there were no disk errors found. Not sure why that would have an effect on the library, but nothing has changed. Xbox is still broken.

    Using System File Checker in Windows

    1 - Type cmd (Command Prompt) in the search bar of the Start menu and then click Run as administrator.

    2 - Enter chkdsk /f/x/r/v

    The system will ask you if you want to run CHKDSK after restarting the system, press S on your keyboard and then type "Exit" and restart the computer, it will scan in DOS mode.
